Transfer Admission Policies

While a 2.3 GPA is required for admission to the university, each college major has a minimum GPA requirement. Those students who are not accepted into their desired college are automatically place in the University College until they establish the GPA for their desired major.

Advising Requirements
New transfer students are required to contact the advising center of their college for information on what steps need to be taken in order to remove an advising hold that is placed on their record. The purpose of the advising hold is to be sure students are familiar with university and college academic policies and to know what classes transferred to UNLV. Academic policies and degree requirements can be found in the front section of the undergraduate catalog.

Immunization Requirement
All new UNLV students have an immunization hold put on their record. To get the immunization hold removed, students need to turn in completed immunization records to Student Enrollment Services, located in Frazier Hall. This hold must be removed prior to registering for classes.
