Unsure about what major to pursue? UNLV has several tools in place to help you with your decision.
- Classes such as UNS 100, SCI 100, and EPY 101 offer students the opportunity to explore both their passions and career options while enhancing their study skills and learning more about campus life.
- Every fall, the University
College hosts
the Major Exploration Fair, an event where each college showcases its
degree programs. This is an excellent time for students to talk to
many advisors and explore multiple degrees in one day.
- Career
counseling is offered by Career Services.
There students can explore career options for various majors or take
the free DISCOVER interest
inventory that measures one's interests, abilities, and values in
relationship to various careers. This personality inventory may help
students consider careers they have overlooked in the past.
- The majors page identifies the majors offered at UNLV.
Declaring or changing a major is not a difficult process. Simply visit the advising center of choice for details concerning the academic requirements for individual majors, and you are on your way.
